Marshall Completes Washington Department of Natural Resources Geology Portal Upgrade Project

Marshall recently completed a geology portal upgrade project for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR).   As part of the project, Marshall upgraded DNR’s Department of Geology web portal to improve speed, comprehension, and general user experience.  Geologists use this application to learn about the geology of an area of interest.

“We needed an interactive map application that would serve up some exceptionally complex data layers, and our requirements called for significant customization.” said Washington Division of Geology and Earth Resources Editor and Publications Section Manager, Karen Meyers.
“Marshall was very responsive to our needs. The project manager and software developer were professional and accessible throughout the project, helping us define and refine our requirements, responding to our questions and requests promptly, and making sure we fully understood our options. Marshall coordinated with our in-house staff and worked within our schedule and budget to deliver a feature-rich application, and we are quite pleased with the results.”
