About Portland BES
The Portland Bureau of Environmental Services provides City of Portland
residents with Clean River programs, including water quality protection,
wastewater collection and treatment, and sewer installation. BES has more
than 400 employees. Five work groups operate under the Office of the Director
- Watershed Services, Pollution Prevention Services, Engineering Services,
Wastewater, and Business Services.
